Dear Parents
Have we ever told our children why and how such a verse of the Qur'an was revealed? What was the story behind it? Have you ever told the stories of the prophets? Ever told that Hazrat Ayub (peace be upon him) was patient with courage in what situations? How did Hazrat Yusuf (peace be upon him) hold the Lord's hand with ease and faith? Why was Hazrat Abraham (peace be upon him) the Lord's favorite friend? And why did he never complain even after giving so many sacrifices? How did Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him) come out of the belly of the fish? For what crime did the people of Lot (peace be upon him) deserve such a great punishment? What was the result of 900 years of steadfastness of Hazrat Noah (peace be upon him)? Hazrat Asia was a firm believer and what reward did she get for it? Why does Allah give examples of the purity of Hazrat Maryam? The books of the world are decorated in the bookshelves of our children, But whose children have read the entire stories of the Prophets? We fondly name our children Fatimah, Ibrahim, Musa, Bilal, Maryam, Khadijah and Ismail And think that our duty has been fulfilled and now our children will automatically become virtuous. But!!!!!! How will these children become a continuous charity for us Have we ever tried to teach them the Quran instead of handing it over to a reader? Translation of the Quran has been taught????????? It has been said that what does Allah say in His book? How to develop in our children those high qualities of character that were in our Jalil-ul-Qadr Companions, Saints and Prophets? Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq's kindness, generosity, faithfulness and loyalty. The high character and justice of Hazrat Umar Farooq, Hazrat Usman Ghani's shame and modesty, sacrifice and singing Hazrat Ali's Courage, Rushd and Fastness Saifullah Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed Radiyallahu Anhu, the bravery of Jari and Zerik generals Loyalty and service of Hazrat Khadija Hazrat Bilal's sacrifices and steadfastness Hazrat Fatimah's love and respect for her father The bravery of Muhammad Bin Qasim and Salahuddin Ayyubi Hazrat Anas (RA) and Ayesha (RA) love for knowledge These are the Muslim heroes whose true stories take them to the heights of character and morals. Not the time spent on Netflix, YouTube and social media and wandering around. There is still time before this temptation of social media and mobile phones sinks our generations. It may not be possible to completely get rid of it now, but make positive use of this social media yourself and let your children too.
